District 6460 International Club Grant

International Club Grant Overview

In 2023-24 District 6460 set aside $50,000 for clubs to use for small projects of international Rotary clubs. $25,000 would be available in 2023-24 and $25,000 in 2024-25 plus any unused funds from the prior year.

The district is encouraging D6460 clubs to develop club-to-club relationships with international clubs. Those relationships may consist of periodic and ongoing communications and possibly joint club meetings. The hope is the club-to-club relationships will lead to clubs identifying each other as Twin clubs and for members of the clubs to participate in Rotary Friendship Exchanges, Rotarians from one club travel to the other club’s community to be immersed in the local culture and then members of the host club will reverse the process by visiting the other club’s community.

D6460 clubs may only apply for funding of up to $2,500 one time across the two-year period. Clubs that have established, or are in the process of establishing, a club-to-club relationship will be given priority for funding, but it is not a requirement.

District International Grant Rules and Requirements

Many grants come with a full set of rules. Not this one. Choose an international club, district or Rotary organization such as Heart to Heart that you trust and help fund a project in another country. The hope is you will choose a club that your club has or is in the process of creating a long-term relationship. Your club can choose to require receipts or documentation from the international club regarding the grant, but the district will not have any post-funding documentation requirements.
